Best Candidates
Your procedure at our practice will be chosen and personalized to create your desired results. For quick results, QuickPro is designed to remove surface stains caused by food, beverages, and tobacco products. WhiteSpeed also treats surface enamel stains, but it can also treats discoloration caused by aging and certain medications. At your initial consultation, we will examine your teeth's condition and explain which method best fits your goals and needs. You may also need home whitening kits: Zoom DayWhite or NiteWhite. A home treatment may be recommended either on its own or following your office Zoom procedure to enhance and refresh your outcomes.
What To Expect
If you want WhiteSpeed or QuickPro, you can plan your treatment so it follows your cleaning at our Arlington Heights, IL practice. This will eliminate tartar and plaque so the whitening treatment application is even on your teeth. After your teeth are clean and dry, your mouth will be covered before the process starts. For QuickPro, every tooth is painted with whitening varnish and then covered with a sealant for protection. As soon as your teeth have been evenly coated, you can leave our office. After about 30 minutes, you can remove the varnish by brushing your teeth.
For WhiteSpeed, a whitening gel will be painted on your teeth. After your teeth are covered, a light will activate the stain removal treatment. These steps will be done three times in the course of around 45 minutes. Any remaining gel will be cleaned off of your enamel before a final gel is used to reduce sensitivity and fortify your teeth.
Follow-Up
We can talk to you about post-treatment ways to take care of your teeth following your Zoom treatment. The best way to sustain your results is to follow a good oral care routine at home with regular flossing, brushing, and mouthwash rinsing. Bi-annual cleanings can also help to brighten your teeth and keep your mouth clean. You should also skip consuming staining food, drinks, and tobacco products if you'd like your teeth to stay white. You may boost your results with Zoom home kits and schedule another professional treatment in our office as needed.
Insurance Coverage
Teeth whitening is an elective procedure, so it's typically not covered by your insurance. At your initial consultation, we can discuss your choices and help you decide on the method that matches your goals and budget. A member of our team will also discuss the payment methods we take and low-interest medical financing to make your procedure affordable.
